What is the Canada Greener Homes Grant program?
It is an initiative of the Canadian government under which homeowners have the opportunity to cover the cost of assessing and improving the energy efficiency of their home. There are several options for improving the energy efficiency of your windows and sliding patio doors. Completely replacing your windows and frames with new, high-efficiency ENERGY STAR® certified windows can make your home more comfortable, save energy and help combat climate change. What are the criteria for the grant:
- All equipment must be purchased in Canada.
- Online purchases are only acceptable if ordered from a distributor located in Canada.
- The equipment must be on one of the eligible product lists shown in the following table. All eligible product lists are available in a searchable online format.
- Keep ENERGY STAR labels on your windows and sliding patio doors until the post-improvement evaluation.
